Our mission is to make psychotherapy affordable for everyone, irrespective of their ability to pay.
CCPL is a not-for-profit, Community Interest Company established by a collective of psychotherapists to improve access to affordable long-term psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy to adults across London.
We believe that psychotherapy should not be a luxury or exclusive, and work to reduce barriers to accessing meaningful psychological support.
Many of the people accessing our service are not able to afford private therapy or appropriate statutory support.
CCPL was established by part of the clinical team from the Highbury Counselling Centre (HCC) following its closure in July 2026.
Our therapists are in the latter stages of well-regarded clinical trainings and work with CCPL on an honorary basis. All of our counsellors and psychotherapists are registered with the relevant professional accrediting body (such as UKCP, BACP, BPS, BPC, NCPS) affiliated with their course/qualification, and receive regular in-house supervision.
All of our CCPL supervisors are psychodynamic psychotherapists and psychoanalysts who are registered/accredited with the UKCP, the BACP, NCPS and/or the BPC.
